AMENAmen Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to the Amen mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Application"), developed and operated by LiEnChi ("Service Provider").
Information Collection and Use
In principle, the Application does not actively collect, log, or store any personally identifiable information (PII) upon download or use, nor does it require account registration.
- Technical Data & Transmission Security: When connected to the internet, the system transmits only essential technical data (such as temporary IP addresses) required to maintain network connections. This data is not retained and is not used for tracking purposes. All network transmissions within the Application are encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS/HTTPS) whenever feasible.
- External Links & PDF Imports: When you import an online PDF via a URL, the Application sends a direct download request to the specified third-party server. This connection generates necessary network data (such as your IP address and User-Agent) subject to that third party's privacy policy. The Service Provider has no control over third-party data processing.
- In-App Purchases: The Application offers In-App Purchases (one-time purchases) processed through the Apple App Store. Payment processing, payment details, and refunds are managed exclusively by Apple. The Service Provider does not access your payment information and only queries Apple to verify membership status.
- Purchase Data: The App Store provides purchase receipts to the Application at specific times, such as when downloading, updating, or requesting in-app purchases. These receipts contain information including the original purchase date and transaction history. Receipts are provided in a manner that does not reveal user identity.
Data Storage and Backup Mechanisms
The Service Provider does not maintain proprietary cloud servers for data synchronization or backup.
- Local Storage & File Access: All application data (including notes and prayer lists) is stored locally on your device. Because file sharing permissions are enabled for this Application, you can access your imported documents via iTunes / Finder.
- iOS System Backups: Data stored in the local Documents directory may be archived according to your personal iOS system backup settings (such as iCloud Backup or computer backups). These backup operations are controlled entirely by Apple iOS, and the Service Provider cannot access backup content.
Real-Time Location Information
The Application does not collect, access, or use precise real-time location data from your mobile device.
Third-Party Services and System Diagnostics
Except for the official Apple services and mechanisms listed below, the Application does not share your data with any third parties:
- Game Center: If you log into Game Center, your accumulated reading time will sync to Apple servers to provide leaderboard services.
- Diagnostics and Crash Reports: If you opt in to "Share With App Developers" in your iOS settings, the Service Provider receives de- identified, anonymous crash logs and diagnostic data through official Apple channels. This data is used solely to analyze errors and improve software quality, and cannot be linked to your personal identity.
Opt-Out Rights and Data Deletion
Under normal use, the Application does not collect personal data. You may delete all locally stored data simply by uninstalling (deleting) the Application from your device. If you have previously contacted the Service Provider or provided personal information through other channels, you may submit a data deletion request by emailing amen.leepj@gmail.com.
Children's Privacy
The Application is not directed to children under 13 years of age (or the corresponding legal age in your jurisdiction), nor does the Service Provider intentionally collect data from or market to children. Because the Application itself does not collect personal data, standard use poses no risk to children's data. If a child under 13 voluntarily provides information through other communication channels, parental or legal guardian consent will be required as mandated by law.
Information Security
Because the Application does not collect personal data, the risk of personal data exposure is minimal. However, no internet transmission or electronic storage system can be guaranteed 100% secure. The Service Provider implements reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect systems and existing operational data.
Data Breach Notification
Because standard use of the Application does not involve collecting personal data, the likelihood of a personal data breach is extremely low. In the event of a breach involving information you voluntarily provided, the Service Provider will notify you promptly in accordance with applicable laws.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
The Service Provider may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be published with an updated effective date. Where required by law, your consent will be sought prior to material updates taking effect. Prior versions will be archived and can be requested via amen.leepj@gmail.com.
Effective Date and Withdrawal of Consent
This Privacy Policy is effective as of September 1, 2026. If you have voluntarily provided personal information based on consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing based on consent prior to its withdrawal.
